ASB Memorial Scholarship
The Ariel Sharee Backstrom Memorial Scholarship honors Ariel’s life by supporting Alabama high school seniors and college students who demonstrate perseverance, leadership, and compassion in both their academics and community involvement. Applicants must reside in Alabama and submit a short essay reflecting how they embody the values of kindness, service, and excellence that defined Ariel’s life. The scholarship provides financial assistance toward tuition, books, or career-related training programs, helping recipients take the next step toward their educational and professional goals. Applications open each spring and can be submitted online through the Ariel Sharee Foundation’s website, along with academic transcripts, one letter of recommendation, and proof of enrollment or acceptance.
